A Distinguished Serene Retreat Nestled in the lush green verdant surroundings of Bharatwala in Dehradun, Oxygen Homestay stands as one of Uttarakhand’s oldest and most Cherished Homestays offering guests a rare blend of Tranquility Comfort and Heartfelt Hospitality.
Founded in March 2015 by Mr. And Mrs. Sandeep Sharma Oxygen Homestay was born out of a beautiful twist.
The Journey began with Mr. Sandeep Sharma, A Delhi based business consultant known for his extensive experience and helping entrepreneurs establish new ventures across India. During one of his business visits to Dehradun while setting up a branch of Delhi Public School, he discovered a beautiful piece of land surrounded by Dense Forest and Calming Sounds of Nature, A place that instantly resonated with his vision of a serene and Balanced lifestyle. It was the kind of place that immediately spoke of peace and harmony. It felt like a perfect sanctuary away from the hustle-bustle of city life. Like A Perfect Retreat for his family.

What began as a personal endeavour soon evolved into something much more, guided by a fortunate turn of events and encouraged by friends and visitors, who were enchanted by the serenity of the surroundings, the Sharma’s established Oxygen Homestay and has since grown to become one of Uttarakhand‘s most loved Homestay.

For Mrs. Sharma managing the Homestay is not a professional, but a heartfelt passion. Her in depth love for hospitality and nature is reflected in every detail of the property. Vaikom boats of having one of the oldest Siva temple in the entire South India; it is a must visit to see the grandeur and the intricate architecture of the temple. In November / December the temple hosts 12 day festival every year. The local market provides a glimpse into the everyday life of people and gives you opportunity to pick-up a souvenir or two back home!

Hmmm....you trip is incomplete without the visit to the local toddy shop!! Indulge in freshly tapped coconut toddy with local delicacies such as tapioca with fish curry or meat curry, try the shrimps, squids, clam meat or mussels! Simply enjoy the gastronomical indulgence !!!

Kumarakom Birds Safari

For bird lovers a must visit place. Set-up in Kumarakom over 14 hectares of land in Vembanad lake. one gets to see a variety of migratory birds that flock in thousands, ranging from places like the Himalayas to Siberia. It is approximately 15 kms from our homestay.

Marari beach at Alappuzha

For the beach lovers, a visit to the pristine and picturesque Mararikulam beach is inon-negotiable. Situated in Alappuzha (Allappey) this is a must visit beach and spend some quality time. It is about 30 kms from our homestay.
